High brightness LEDs (HB-LEDs) had a global consumption of $4.9bn in 2009.  Forecasts market research firm ElectroniCast Consultants project this number to triple by 2015.

We want to inform all our current and potential customers that the Chinese New Year holiday officially begins on February 14, 2009.  This is by far the most important and longest holiday celebrated in China and there will be order/shipping delays during the month of February.

Presently, the biggest problem of Chinese LED lighting industry is the deficiency of national standards and industry standards. The disorderly market is full of enterprises with uneven capacity and products with inferior quality, which blows the market confidence. Nine Chinese official-led industrial standards were approved by Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

RoHS Compliance & LED Lighting Products:  LED products (LED bulbs and LED lighting fixtures) are fully compliant with the RoHS directive currently in force across Europe and North America.  Lighting users, lighting designers, specifiers, architects and manufacturers working and using the Green Lighting LED products are assured they are compliant with the legislation and contain no lead, mercury or toxic gasses.

Lightsavers is an international program currently evaluates real time use of outdoor LED lighting.  Launched by The Climate Group (UN), the program tests working outdoor LED models.  The Climate Group claims LED lighting can cut CO2 emissions on outdoor lighting by 50-70% all while reducing cost and light pollution.

ENERGY STAR has finalized eligibility criteria for Integral LED Lamps, dated December 3, 2009.  The effective date for the Integral LED Lamp criteria will be August 31, 2010.

Empowered with decades of experience and expertise in organizing trade exhibitions, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is reputed internationally for its outstanding performance.  The 2009 edition attracted over 1,500 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions, making this event one of the largest of its kind in Asia and the world.
