The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame installed MR16 lamps from Green Lighting LED as part of their construction and renovations. Inspired by Hall of Famers like John Legend & U2, the Museum has made massive steps toward being green. The entire project was completed in 2011, which included:
- Installation of more energy-efficient electronics
- Green Lighting LED’s MR16 LED lamps to replace halogen lamps
- Implementation of a complex recycling program for all old materials
The Hall of Fame replaced 50 watt halogens with 6 watt LED MR16s, an 85% savings in energy. Our Energy Star & UL listed MR16s provide excellent CRI, making sure the spot lights show the vibrant colors on display throughout the facility.
So while Kiss, Deep Purple, Yes, and Def Leppard remain outside the enshrined status of the Hall of Fame, our light bulbs shine brightly within. Although, once those groups finally do get in, we hope to light up their displays with LED lighting from Green Lighting LED.
We would like to shout out, ‘Congrats!’ to our friends at the Hall of Fame for earning a silver LEED status and making an improvement in their city and community. We’re still waiting for the NFL and baseball Halls of Fame to start calling our distributors requesting LED lighting.
